Pelli Choopulu filmmaker Tharun Bhascker is a busy man these days. While he completed writing dialogues for the Telugu remake of Oh My Kadavale starring Vishwak Sen sometime ago, he’s next awaiting the release of Pitta Kathalu, the Netflix anthology film that’s set to release on February 19. His long-delayed film with Venkatesh is yet to go on floors but apparently, several actors have approached the young director to do a film for them. However, he’s most likely to take up a film with Naga Chaitanya next.
From what we hear, the script that he has planned for Naga Chaitanya is an investigative cop drama. Tharun Bhascker’s films are known to have a happy go lucky, breezy vibe, but he is planning to change gears this time for a hard-hitting film. He has been leaving no stone unturned to prepare this script which he’s been writing since lockdown.
The director has taken immense interest in understanding criminal psychology, researching many unique cases in the past and holding several interactions with retired police officers. The director believes that Naga Chaitanya is an actor whom he can mingle well and who would genuinely trust his creative vision. Well, Naga Chaitanya hasn’t done any cop role in his career yet and it would be interesting to see how he fares in this film. The other cast and crew for the film haven’t been finalised yet.
