Can Rajamouli Match These Legends?

Tollywood Jakkana Rajamouli created a sensation across the world with his Magnum Opus Bahubali. He is now set to show his power with RRR. Rajamouli captured the imagination of all by doing different genre films and tasting success in all of them.

He did mass entertainers like Chatrapati, Simhadri, Student No 1, and socio fantasy flicks Magadheera, Yama Donga, comedy entertainer Maryada Ramanna, sports drama Sye and Eega that had no hero.

Rajamouli long ago revealed that his dream is to make Mahabharat on silver screen. Pressure is increasing on him to make Ramayana. Speculation is on that he will show Mahesh Babu as Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in his next.

Now the question is can Rajamouli emerge successful with mythological, patriotic and historical genre films. In all his films he has taken immense cinematic liberties and that can be seen in Yama Donga, Magadheera, Baahubali. Even in RRR, though he is showing NTR and Ram Charan as freedom fighters Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sita Rama Raju, he revealed that RRR is a fictitious patriotic entertainer.

If he shows Mahesh Babu in the role of Chatrapati Shivaji, will it be a full length historical entertainer or will it be another historical fantasy like RRR. If he does Mahabharat or Ramayana, he cannot deviate from the subject and pressure will be on too satisfy fans and critics.

Movie lovers cannot forget KV Reddy's Maya Bazar, Sri Krishna Arjuna Yuddham, Bapu's Sampoorna Ramayanam or NYR's many mythological entertainers. Can Rajamouli match these legends??
