Tollywood industry is slowly recovering from the after-effects of the coronavirus and the subsequent closure of theatres. Buoyed by the success of Ravi Teja's Krack, stars and the filmmakers are planning to release their films during the summer season. However few makers are still having their reservations as the theatres are operating with 50% occupancy.
Forget about small filmmakers, big filmmakers are experiencing tensions as it is difficult to recover the budget with 50% occupancy. But all the big filmmakers lined up their films for a summer release. However, now they are feeling that it is not the right decision.
This is because schools and colleges are not having holidays during summer this year. Since the syllabus is not completed due to the online classes, exams may get delayed and so Government may do away with summer holidays and increase the working days.
Already government cancelled holidays for inter students. Filmmakers should keep this in mind before announcing their films release dates. It has to be seen whether the makers will change the release dates for the summer releases.
