Energetic Hero Ram attained tremendous mass image with his last outing iSmart Shankar. Ram who till that time had been doing lover boy roles and he sprang a surprise on all with his remarkable transformation. All the credit goes to director Puri Jagannadh who unearthed the unknown and unseen mass image in Ram.

Ram came to entertain with a thriller Red during Sankranthi. The film directed by Kishore Tirumala happened to be a remake of Tamil hit Thadam. Those who watched the film felt that it was not as impactful as one thought to be and it indeed has dented Ram's hard-gained mass image with iSmart Shankar.

Many felt had Ram came with a regular mass entertainer instead of Red, he would have made a powerful impact and the world have erased the bottom that he has been unable to continue the success run after scoring a hit. Ram missed a golden opportunity with his weakness in selecting a powerful story.
