During the covid pandemic, people are thinking twice before venturing out. Government authorities had given permission for the theatres to screen films with 50% occupancy. This affected their profits but many felt it is the next option rather than keep theatres shut.

Following this, couple of films released and Mass Raja Ravi Teja's Krack released last week. Many people especially fans thronged to theatres to watch the film despite covid scare. But at first they got a huge shock when the film repeatedly postponed before releasing late night much to their disappointment.

Now even before fans can rejoice the positive talk and people get ready to watch the film, theatre owners have another silent and rude shock. They increased the ticket rates and single screen tickets increased from Rs100 to Rs Rs150 and multiplexes tickets increased from Rs 150 to Rs200. But not all theatres increased the rates.

Generally to get tickets rates increased, the makers approach government officials and get a GO passes. Right thinking people expressed anger at the theatre owners trying to recover 50% loss from movie lovers by increasing the ticket rates in the corona pandemic. They even forgot R Narayana Murthy's advice not to trouble movie lovers who are braving to venture out risking their lives for entertainment by increasing ticket rates.
