Summer Will Not Be Same For Chiru, Pawan, Prabhas

After Sankranthi, summer is the biggest season for Tollywood. If the permission is given for 100 percent occupancy, there would have been numerous films hitting the screens for this Sankranthi. So, all the big ticket films are pushed to sankranthi. Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Acharya, Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s Vakeel Saab, Rebel Star Prabhas’ Radhe Shyam and few other films are releasing in summer.

However, this sankranthi will not be the same like earlier for Tollywood and other industries. Usually, holidays are given to all the educational institutions during summer, every year. But, due to lockdown in 2020, there will be regular classes for schools and colleges in summer and final exams will be held in April-May or June-July.

So, audience may not throng to theatres like before in summer due to classes and exams. It will be somehow a damage control for Tollywood, if there will be complete lift on restrictions for theatres. Or else it will be an additional headache for stars and filmmakers who are planning to release their movies in summer.

It is tough for films which are made on high budgets like Acharya, Vakeel Saab and Radhe Shyam to recover the full investments from theatres under these circumstances. Let’s see how the filmmakers will deal with the situation!
