It was the testing time for Telugu cinema when Supreme Hero Sai Dharam Tej's Solo Brathuke So Better hit the screens on December 25. It was thought by many that the audience wouldn't rush to theatres to watch it in this prevailing pandemic.
Wracking up all those assumptions, the movie lovers thronged to theaters to watch the film on big screen. As a result, SBSB achieved a break even by the end of 2020. And the film entered profit on January 1 with huge collections minted on the new year's day.
Since it being a long weekend, with Saturday and Sunday's collections also expected to be stronger, the film is bringing cheers to the exhibitors and producers. The film is set to collect more than Rs.10 crores with a 50% occupancy barrier set by the government.
All in all, SBSB has become the last super hit of 2020. Further, the film instilled enormous confidence among the filmmakers to get their films released without any hesitation.
SBSB was directed by debutant Subbu under SVCC banner. Nabha Natesh is the heroine.
