Shame! Congress, AAP, TRS & YCP Hide These Facts and Propagate Myths

Did you know? Not actually all the Farmers are disobeying the new farm laws. The Farmers of non-BJP ruling states are only resorting to an unnecessary agitation against the laws as they were misled by the parties like Congress, AAP, TRS and YSRCP. These parties have hidden the innumerable benefits of new farm laws and are propagating myths which turned the situation chaotic uselessly. 

In the meanwhile the union government has come up with a solid retort condemning every myth connected with the farm laws and describing the facts behind every myth. Checkout the following. 

Myth: Farm lawas are a conspiracy to phase out the safety net of Minimum Support Price. (MSP).

Fact: Farm laws are not not to affect MSP at all. MSP system will continue.

Myth: Now the mandis will end.

Fact: Market system will continue as before.

Myth: Farmers will be destroyed by the Government by getting them into contracts with big corporates.

Fact: Contract Farming has been implemented by many states in the past several decades. Other states also passed separate contract farming acts.

Myth: The laws are anti-farmer without any protection for them.

Fact: These laws will give more options to Farmers. Farmers can now sell their crops to anyone, anywhere and can earn more profits by joining with big companies. 

Myth: Advantage to big corporates and loss to Farmers.

Fact: In many states Farmers successfully produced crops like sugarcane, cotton, tea, coffee along with large corporates. Now small Farmers benefit from technology and equipment with guaranteed profits. 

Myth: The law does not provide any price guarantee for Farmers. The practice of producing grains at MSP by central agencies like FCI will end.

Fact: The law ensures a price guarantee for Farmers under the agreement and provision for penalty in case of payment failure. Further, MSP is an independent structure which will not be impacted by the law. 

Myth: Farmers land will be in the hands of capitalists.

Fact: The law clearly prohibits sale, lease or mortgage of farmer's land. Agreement will be for crops not land. 

Myth: Big companies will exploit Farmers in the name of contract.

Fact: The contract agreement will guarantee the Farmers to get the fixed price. Farmer can withdraw from the contract at any point without any penalty.
