From Auckland To Bollywood To Tollywood

Tollywood filmmakers roping in Bollywood actresses is not a new trend. And hiring overseas actresses for the roles of foreign girls is also not new to Tollywood. Casting a foreign actress for a full length role sounds crazy. But, hero Naga Shaurya’s next film with Aneesh Krishna will have a foreign actress in female lead role.

An Auckland based girl Shirley Setia who appeared in a Netflix original Maska and making her Bollywood film debut with Nikamma is zeroed in for Naga Shaurya’s untitled flick that marks her Tollywood debut. Though she is a foreign girl, she looks like an Indian.

The film was already launched with a formal Pooja ceremony and its regular shoot begins from next month. Ira Creations will bankroll the project that has music by Mahati Swara Sagar.

Currently, Naga Shaurya is working for two films- one is with Santosh Jagarlapudi and the other is with Lakshmi Sowjanya.
