Chiranjeevi made a grand comeback into movies with Khaidi No 150, which was made under the home banner of Konidela Production Company headed by Ram Charan. His second film Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy was also made under the home production. The pan-India film had a stellar star cast with the likes of Amitabh Bachchan among others. However, the film couldn’t live up to the expectations on the silver screen and incurred losses to Charan.
Looks like Megastar has now learnt from the mistake to not restrict himself in his home banner. He has now opened to working on other production banners. Currently, he is working for Koratala Siva’s Acharya for which he is charging Rs 50 croroe plus. The film is bankrolled by Niranjan Reddy.
The latest update is that Chiranjeevi has increased his remuneration for his next which is produced by Anil Sunkara. A remake of Tamil film Vedalam, reportedly Chiranjeevi is charging Rs 60 crore as his fee. Directed by Meher Ramesh, the film will be made on a tight-budget as a huge chunk is doled out to Chiru.
