Laxmii Twitter Review: Disappointing

Raghava Lawrence directorial Laxmii starring Akshay Kumar came as an early Diwali release which is streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar. Laxmii is the Hindi remake of hit South film Kanchana which starred the director himself, Raghava. Expectations were sky-high on this remake, considering the original film was a blockbuster hit. However, this Diwali early release has failed to entice the audience and critics as well. Laxmii trended on Twitter on November 9 late night as netizens expressed their discontentment with the film. Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh called this film ‘disappointing’. He tweeted, "#Laxmii lacks the punch, it clearly disappoints. #OneWordReview… #Laxmii: DISAPPOINTING. Lacks the impact of the original [#Kanchana]… #AkshayKumar in terrific form, but weak screenwriting + forced comedy are downers… Gathers momentum in concluding portions… Expected so much more!"
