Pawan And Others To Miss Sankranthi, In That Case!

More than half a dozen Telugu films were announced to be released for Sankranthi in 2021. Although the release date is not officially announced, Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s Vakeel Saab will also be gracing the theaters for the festival. But, it seems, Pawan Kalyan and other stars may miss the Sankranthi season, in this scenario.

It is known that, Union Information and Broadcasting Ministry couple of weeks ago released the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cinema halls and theatres. According to the SoPs, only 50 per cent seating will be allowed of the total capacity and alternate seats will be left vacant for social distancing.

As per reports, cinema halls in Telugu states will reopen in November and few Telugu films are planned for a theatrical release in the month. Filmmakers are hoping that, permission will be given for 100 per cent seating, before Sankranthi. It will be a welcoming decision if central government gives the permission. But the question is what will the stars and filmmakers do if the seating will be restricted for 50 per cent.

Undoubtedly, most of the films will get postponed for summer. Let’s hope that doesn’t happen and theatres will fully function before the festival season!
