Dad’s Desperate Attempt For One Film Wonder

Do you remember hero Prashanth who rose to stardom with Shankar's blockbuster romantic comedy Jeans where he played dual lead roles as identical twins. He was flooded with offers, but he couldn’t utilize the success of Jeans. Prashanth recently made comeback to Telugu in a supporting role in Ram Charan’s Vinaya Vidheya Rama.

Now, it is coming out that, Prashanth will be doing Andhadhun remake. Prashanth’s dad Thiagarajan who is a popular actor, director and producer has bought Tamil remake rights of Andhadhun and he roped in JJ Fredrick to direct the movie.

Bankrolled by Thiagarajan's Star Movies, Aishwarya Rai is in talks for the role played by Tabu in the original. If Aishwarya Rai gives green signal, then there will be some buzz on the film or else it is tough for the film to garner any attention.

The film indeed needs a great support in form of actor to play the crucial role. If Aishwarya Rai refuses, then they should look for other popular actor to play the role.

It seems Thiagarajan is making desperate attempts to provide another hit to his son. Though Prashanth scored few decent hits, he could score another hit in the range of Jeans. It has to be seen whether this ‘One Film Wonder’ make strong comeback with Andhadhun remake!

On the other hand, Andhadhun Telugu remake will feature hero Nithhin, while Merlapaka Gandhi will direct it. Tamannaah Bhatia is confirmed to play Tabu’s role.
