Maverick director Puri Jagannadh made sensational statements through his podcast- Gareeb. He says if you are born poor it's not your mistake, but if you die poor it's your mistake. But, he went a step ahead and made a radical demand.
"White-card holders should be stripped of their right to vote. Also, only educated people should enjoy the voting right. A minimum qualification should be prescribed," Puri added. Dalit activists lashed out at Puri for his controversial remarks.
Meanwhile, Vijay Deverakonda also made controversial comments on political situations. While speaking to a national media, Vijay said, “I don’t even think everybody should be allowed to vote because, they don’t even know who they are voting for, why they are voting for. I won’t stand in an election where, when people stop voting for alcohol and money.”
“I think somewhere dictatorship is right way, but you need to have a right guy,” added Vijay Deverakonda who is presently working with Puri for his maiden Bollywood venture Fighter which is being made as a Pan India entertainer.
While some are supporting Vijay Deverakonda’s comments, others are criticizing him for his views.
