Bars Are Open, Why Not Theaters?

There’s a big debate regarding reopening of Theaters, ever since central government gave permission for opening of bars, restaurants and gyms. While some opine that Theaters should also be opened as lakhs of lives depend on the business, while others opine that it’s unnecessary risk to open cinema halls amid spike in corona cases.

Meanwhile, director Nag Ashwin questioned when almost everything is open, why not Theaters. “I'm all for safety, but with gyms, bars, restaurants, malls, temples, bus, train, metro, flights open, it feels about time even movie Theaters open...cant wait to mask up and watch movies the way they are meant to be watched...not pause, fast-forward, rewind...” tweeted he.

Nag Ashwin who delivered blockbuster with his last film Mahanati will next be directing young rebel star Prabhas in a Pan India film that will star Deepika Padukone in female lead. Legendary filmmaker Singeetam Srinivasa Rao is acting as mentor for the script works of the film produced by Aswini Dutt under Vyjayanthi Movies banner.
