Kangana Ranaut has been hitting the headlines from the past few days for her controversial proclamations on drugs scandal in the Bollywood and the verbal war between her and Maharashtra government. It all started with the drug case that sprung out of the Sushant Singh Rajput death probe and the arrest of Rhea Chakraborty.
Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut took to Twitter and declared Tollywood as country’s top film industry. She said that majority of Hindi films are being shot at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. However, she made this statement not out of love on Tollywood but out of hatred on Bollywood. And, she made this statement just when Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath directed officials to find suitable land to set up the country’s ‘biggest and the most beautiful’ film city in Noida.
In a series of Tweets, she wrote “People’s perception that top film industry in India is Hindi film Industry is wrong. Telugu film industry has ascended itself to the top position and now catering films to pan India in multiple languages, many hindi films being shot in Ramoji Hyderabad”
“Best of dubbed regional films don’t get pan India release but dubbed Hollywood films get mainstream relase it’s alarming. Reason is the atrocious quality of most Hindi films and their monopoly over theatre screens also media created aspirational imagine for Hollywood films,” she added.
