Megastar Chiranjeevi is still ruling the Telugu film industry as number one hero with back to back hits. Meanwhile, people are wondering when megastar will overcome these scares.
On his return to silver screen, Chiru chose a remake to show his power. He starred in Kathi remake and showed his power at the box office as Khaidi No 150. He later did She Raa Narasimha Reddy and realized his dream of playing the role of a freedom fighter.
Chiranjeevi is now doing Acharya under the direction of Koratala Siva. This is a straight film. However, Chiru is showing more interest in starring in the remakes rather than coming up with straight films. For his 150th film he heard many stories before settling for a remake.
Chiru will next be doing remakes of Lucifer and Vedalam. Though people are happy with Chiranjeevi's speed in lining up projects, few Tollywood directors are disappointed that he is showing interest in the remakes, than the original stories. People are of the opinion that for megastar's stature, remakes do not suit him.
They say Chiranjeevi is doing Acharya as successful director like Koratala Siva is helming the project or else he would have settled for another remake. Chiranjeevi should change his style or else he may soon face criticism of insulting Tollywood makers as there are many talented lots so can come up with powerful stories for Megastar.
