Tollywood is not bereft of creative and innovative storylines. Young filmmakers are coming up with thrilling plots. Even though the makers have so many options, if they happen to see hit films in other languages, they are competing to remake them.
Now-a-days Malayalam films are mesmerizing Tollywood stars and filmmakers. Some of them to name a few include Premam, Drushyam, etc. The recent release Uma Maheswara Ugrarupasya is the remake of Malayalam film Maheshinte Pratigaram.
Right from senior stars Chiranjeevi to young actors are keen to star in the remakes. Chiranjeevi is set to star in Lucifer remake as Ram Charan loved the original. Plans are on to remake Ayyappnum Koshiyum with Pawan Kalyan and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead.
Sithara Entertainment which acquired the remake rights of the above film is also planning Kappela remake as well. Two young heroes will be starring in the film. Reports have it that Driving Licence will have a Telugu remake. Rajasekhar is starring in the direction of Neelakantha. Sources say it is the remake of Malayalam film Joseph.
Malayalam film Helen is getting remade in Telugu with Anupama Parameswaran in the lead. Drushyam is having a sequel in Malayalam and if it becomes a hit, chances are that it will also be remade in Telugu.
