Till date, Baahubali franchises are the biggest visual spectacles in India. Thus, director Rajamouli has taken Indian cinema to the next level. And this India's numero uno director's lifetime dream is to helm the epic, the Mabhabharat on the grandest scale ever witnessed by Indian audience.
Nevertheless, when will Mahabharat go on floors? The director, himself, gave a clarity on this million dollar question.
In his recent interview in a top news channel, Rajamouli divulged that it'd take a minimum of 8 years to take the project to sets. As such, it can be expected the film would launch in 2018.
Rajamouli further disclosed that he would make the film in 6 or 7 parts. Naturally, 'Mahabharat' would become India's biggest film franchise and the last part of the film may hit screens in 2040.
Obviously, it could be a mammoth task to Rajamouli to choose an apt star cast and technicians who must dedicate and sacrifice a decade to work on the project.
As of now, Hollywood films like the Harry Potter and Spiderman franchise got many parts released. And now, Indians can also get the best film franchise with a Rajamouli's mark engraved on it.
