Sridevi's daughter Janhvi Kapoor’s latest flick- Gunjan Saxena's biopic, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl has been in the thick of things for quite some time ever since the suicide of Sushant Singh Rajput.

Sushant's fans have been expressing their anger on nepotism and Janhvi and Karan Johar became their prime target. After the film's release on OTTs, while few praised the film, others criticized Janhvi's expressionless face.

In between, IAF has taken a strong exception on the way the makers have shown gender bias in the air force and demanded an apology for the same. The makers, Karan Johar, and Janhvi have been maintaining stoic silence on the entire issue.

The real Kargil girl Gunjan Saxena herself went on record that she never faced discrimination from her colleagues and superiors. Now IAF women officers took a strong exception against Janhvi's Gunjan Saxena biopic.

Padmavathi Bandopadhyay, the first woman officer to become Air Marshal of the IAF said there is nothing like man and woman in the IAF. She said all are officers when in uniform. Like other men oficers, women officers have to prove themselves to grow up the ladder.

Flying Officer Aman Nidhi, who became the first woman IAF pilot to fly Mi 17 combat helicopter along with Flt Lt.Parul Bharadwaj and Flt Lt.Hina Jaiswal says in defense forces there is no gender based reservation and added everyone proved to the nation there is nothing that women cannot do. She said training does not discriminate between men and women and women's contribution is equal to men.

Sub Lieutenant Shivangi, who became the first woman pilot in the Indian Navy to steer a fixed wing Dornier maritime reconnaissance aircraft says the challenge is the same for everyone and she says it is absurd to talk of gender discrimination in IAF.

Indian Army Lieutenant Rashmi Shastri says people have the wrong impression about the defense forces and said they are equal to men. Flt Lt. Hina Jaiswal says background and gender don't matter in the forces.
