Megastar Chiranjeevi is known to be particular when it comes to the selection of stories. That is the reason his success rate is high. He gives a green signal, only after taking into consideration the tastes and preferences of his fans and commercial elements.
Chiru is currently starring in Acharya under the direction of Koratala Siva. Apart from it, he is starring in Malayalam film Lucifer remake under the direction of Sujeeth.
Lucifer got a good response in Mollywood. Chiranjeevi is playing Mohan Lal's role and while the original has no heroine. The makers did not even display the photo of the heroine as it is a political and mafia backdrop entertainer. Rumors spread that Chiranjeevi in the remake will have a heroine and also has a love track. Some however rubbished them. Though there is no clarity, mega fans are extremely worried.
Ram Charan bagged the remake rights of Lucifer after the film collected more than 100crs at the box office. The film is already dubbed in Telugu and is also streaming on OTT. People already watched the film many times. Now the question is will movie lovers get interested even if the makers make changes and include heroine opposite Chiranjeevi.
Earlier Pawan Kalyan also starred in the remake of Ajith's film Veeram as Katamarayudu. The film turned out to be a disaster. Even before Katamarayudu the film released in Telugu as Veerudokkade and many watched the film. So fans are experiencing scares whether Chiranjeevi also taste failure like Pawan Kalyan. Chiranjeevi earlier starred in the remakes of Tagore and Khaidi No 150 but those films did not get dubbed in Telugu.
There are also reports doing rounds that, Chiranjeevi ha sput Lucifer remake on hold, since he was not happy with the final narration of Sujeeth. We may get clarity on this, only after corona crisis ends.
