Rana’s Bad Strategy, Direct Release, No Promotions

Rana Daggubati presents Krishna And His Leela was planned for release in summer, this year. But, the coronavirus outbreak and the subsequent lockdown forced the makers to change their plans. However, much to everyone’s surprise, the film has hit OTT platform today. The film directed by Ravikanth Parepu of Kshanam fame is streaming on Netflix to decent response.

As per reports, Krishna And His Leela is a decent entertainer with sufficient stuff for youth audience. The film is said to have romance, comedy and other engaging facets. But, slow narration in second half and predicted climax played the spoilsport. A better second half with a different climax would have done wonders for the film.

Moreover, lack of promotions also affected the film. Without prior information, the film was released all of the sudden today. Of course, it is a good idea to release the film on OTT platform. But, all it needed was proper promotional campaign at least from last one week and the makers would have informed about OTT release bit earlier, so that there would be good rush upon release. Last three days, 3 teasers were released to narrate 3 love stories of protagonist.

Those who watched the film say Krishna And His Leela is far better to recent OTT releases.
