Soon after assuming power, the BJP led union government thought of sending TDP MPs Sujana Chowdary and CM Ramesh behind the bars as they were said to have indulged in bank and other scams.
But then, the TDP MPs were buzzed to have tendered their apologies to the PM Narendra Modi and assured him that they would pay the penalty of thousands of crores as party's fund. Also, they pleaded Modi to get them permitted to join the BJP.
The kind-hearted Modi excused them but ordered them that they must play a passive role in the party.
"Caste bias is the biggest of all other weaknesses. Sujana, who was smitten by the caste weakness, joined hands with the TDP's staunch loyalist and casteist Nimmagadda and scripted strategies against the YSRCP for TDP's gains," some observers said.
"Irked by Sujana's gesture, the BJP high command is learnt to have ordered Sujana to pay some more thousands of crores as penalty for the illegal act. If at all Sujana doesn't pay the money, he will be sent to jail. It is needless to say, Sujana is a wise man and he knows what he can do to escape from being sent to the prison," analysed an onlooker.
