Nepotism is often talked about by the affected people in all walks of life and professions. Allegations and accusations of nepotism have been going on for many decades and after the shocking suicide of Bollywood star, Sushant Singh Rajput once again started the controversy over nepotism.
Many actors shared their experiences accusing nepotism and attacked established stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Karan Johar, Shraddha Kapoor, and others of crushing the careers of many newcomers and upcoming stars. Kangana Ranaut launched a blistering attack on stars' sons and daughters.
Similarly many accused Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, and others of indulging in nepotism and crushing the new talent in the industry. People like Sri Reddy and others attacked Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, and other stars of not encouraging the new talent. However many are of the opinion that nepotism cannot eclipse talent. If that is the case in Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra and others wouldn't have become the stars, and later Kangana Ranaut, Shah Rukh Khan, and others wouldn't have achieved the stardom.
Even in Tollywood NTR, ANR and many other legends came from nowhere to become superstars. But Krishna, Sobhan Babu, Krisham Raju, and others came and attained stardom. Many accused NTR and ANR of crushing the new talent. Had it been so, Nagarjuna, Balakrishna would have ruled the industry. However, Chiranjeevi became the megastar overtaking everyone. If Ram Charan, NTR, Allu Arjun, Mahesh Babu, Prabhas, and others are influencing the filmmakers and crushing others, then one wouldn't have seen the rise of Vijay Deverakonda as the new star.
Stars children may get preference and get a few more offers but if they do not show even little bit of talent, then they will be sidelined in the industry. The best examples are Amitabh Bachchan's son Abhishek Bachchan and Mohan Babu's sons Vishnu, Manoj, and Nagarjuna's son Akhil. All these prove that nepotism cannot eclipse talent.
