Tollywood celebrities during the last few weeks intensified efforts to meet YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and KCR, CMs of two Telugu states Andhra Pradesh and Telangana respectively, and seek permissions for film shoots.
They got happy when the two governments decided to give permissions for film shoots starting from next week. Even as filmmakers are getting ready for film shoots, they got a shock with the twists in rules and regulations.
Telangana government gave permissions for the shooting of films that already completed 50%. This rule prevents the makers from starting new film shoots and those films which completed less than 50% shooting. The makers are now completing only post-production works.
If things do not improve by August, then the makers may be forced to release most of the films on OTT or Pay Per View. So Chiranjeevi's Acharya, Mahesh Babu's Sarkaru Vaari Paata, Allu Arjun's Pushpa makers should wait for some more time before they can go to sets.
