All eyes are on when the theatres will be opened across the country. Union Home Minister Kishan Reddy speaking to scribes revealed that theatres will be opened across the country simultaneously and not one by one as per the wishes of the states.
Producer Suresh Babu said, “It is not right to open the theatres without any suitable content. This may do more harm than good to the industry. Recently theatres were opened in China in a hurried manner and they closed them once again. The same thing repeated for the second time. It is good if theatres are opened when there is good content."
Post-production activities started after two months of lockdown and shootings are set to resume. As per the sources in the film industry, theatres may open in August. Completing shootings of films under changed situations and then making all arrangements in theatres taking all precautions is the main focus. Union Government is already preparing the groundwork on the reopening of theatres. In the meantime, the film industry is keen to make at least 20-30 films ready by the time theatres get opened.
Tollywood has more than 20 films bracing for release with most of them in the final phases of shooting or under post-production. However, till film industry is scared whether people will come to theatres to watch films. So producers may wait for some more time before releasing their films. The films which are in the queue have stars like Nani, Ravi Teja, Rana, Ram, Naga Chaitanya, Akhil, Vaishnav Tej, Sai Tej, and the film's budget is around 10-50crs. The makers may analyze the situation at the box office before taking the risk of releasing their films.
Pawan Kalyan's Vakeel Saab, Venkatesh's Narappa, Ravi Teja's Krack, Sai Tej's Solo Bratuke So Betteru, Naga Chaitanya's Love Story, Sharwanand's Srikaram, Bellamkonda Srinivas' Alludu Adhurs, Manchu Vishnu's Mosgallu, Sundeep Kishan's A1 Express, Allari Naresh's Naandhi, Bangaru Bullodu, Satyadev's Umamaheswara Ugrarupasya are in the final stages of shooting.
