Motion Capture Technology For Super Hit Sequel

Nikhil and Chandoo Mondeti created a sensation with thriller Karthikeya in 2014. The duo is now coming up with a sequel titled Karthikeya 2. Chandoo Mondeti, speaking to scribes, revealed Karthikeya 2 secrets.

He said, "When the lockdown was announced we started Karthikeya 2 script. Now we are concentrating on CG work. The film has scenes related to Dwapara Yuga. Those should be shot using motion capture technology in 3D. Currently, we are working on it".

Chandoo further said, "The film is a sequel. The hero, his family, and friends will be the same as they used to be in the first part. However, the hero faces a new problem and a challenge. While in Karthikeya, it happens to be a temple, in Karthikeya 2, it will be even bigger and it required to take an even greater risk."

Chandoo sharing Karthikeya 2 origins said "We go back to history till 400, 500 years backward. But if we go beyond it, we come to know even startling things. The first surgery happened on earth 2000 years back and Indian doctor Sushruta did it. This happened even before the world learned about civilization. That means how much knowledge that generation people had. How could they perform surgery in those days unless they had such strong communication? This interested me. With the passage of time, this immense knowledge treasure has been neglected. We are making this film based on it."

On him concentrating on thriller content, Chandoo says, "I would like to do all genres. As a movie lover, I love all films. But to narrate or write I wish to have suspense elements in the story. Only at that time, we get kick while writing or shooting".

On which director's influence he has, Chandoo revealed "I like all those who make good films. But if I have to get a name like a particular director, then I should emulate Sukumar. He always surprises all. I watch Rajamouli's films. If I have to spend ten days watching films, I one or the other time watch Baahubali. I like his films a lot".

About the love story with Sharwanand, Chandoo says, "The film should have happened before Karthikeya 2. It has three timelines from 1910 to 2021 and has three heroines. It will become a memorable film in the lines of Manam. However, when we were about to start the shoot, Sharwanand got injured. His role requires a lot of physical strain. So he told 'I will do Jaanu. Let's do this later'. In the meantime, I started Karthikeya 2. After the project with Sharwanand, I'll do a film for Geetha Arts".

Chandoo added, "If one doesn't make films for OTTs and Web series then we will alienate one section of people. I will definitely do them. We are readying few stories suited for web series".
