The amount of craze and media attention generated over Sridevi's daughter Janhvi Kapoor's entry into films was unprecedented and it never happend in the case of the kids of other stars.
Many top stars and filmmakers from the south tried to convince Sridevi and Boney Kapoor to launch Janhvi in their films. Names of many top stars like Ram Charan, Akhil, Mahesh Babu etc did rounds but nothing materialised.
Bollywood star filmmaker Karan Johar prevented them from giving the green signal convincing them to launch Janhvi in Bollywood. Finally Karan Johar launched her in a small film Dhadak, remake of Marathi hit Sairat. Even after that, he signed her for another two low budget films Roohi Afazna and Kargil Girl.
Now Janhvi is in a peculiar situation and her career is at the crossroads. Unlike Tollywood, all the filmmakers and producers are planning to release their films on OTTs. Boney Kapoor is asking Karan Johar to ensure his daughter Janhvi's films release only in theatres. He is disappointed that Janhvi's got confined to a small heroine instead of a star heroine and is repenting that had he launched his daughter Janhvi in Tollywood, the craze would have been completely different.
