PM Announces 20 Lakh Crore Stimulus Package

The PM Narendra Modi addressed the nation on Tuesday night and announced Rs.20 crore massive stimulus package for the people who are facing severe crisis from various sectors with the ensuing lockdowns. He insisted self-reliance and holistic approach of the citizens. Following are the excerpts of his speech.

* The world has been fighting against the virus for 4 months. A total of 30 lakh people were affected while 3+ lakh passed away.

* Just a single virus devastated our lives. We are in the midst of the war and we shouldn't give up at this pivotal moment. 

* We should get saved yet move forward.

*  When corona fight was kickstarted, no single PPE kit nor a single N-95 standard mask was available in India. Right now, 2 lakh PPE kits and 2 more lakh N-95 masks are being made everyday. This proves necessity makes us do wonders.

* India converts this intense crisis into an opportunity to rebuild the nation. 

* At times, when it suffered horrifying dieseases like TB and Polio, the world desperately sought India's helping hand.  India's medicines turned a ray of hope for those countries in which people are in a dire state of life and death.

* India even stood at Y2K crisis before.

* Our nation stands on five pillars such as Indian Economy, Infrastructure of modern India, Tech-Driven System, the demography and Demand-Supply chain.

* 20 lakh crore stimulus package, which forms 10% of the nation's GDP, is offered to relieve the woes of the poor and needy.

* Local products shall be insisted and encouraged by every citizen of India.

* New and improved lockdown 4 will be announced before May 18.
