Like his mentor Ram Gopal Varma, mass director Puri Jagannadh dreamed big to make his mark in Bollywood. His first Hindi film Shart: The Challenge, a remake of his super hit Badri, was an utter flop. After long gap, Puri made his second Hindi directorial Bbuddah... Hoga Terra Baap, remake of Pokiri, which turned out to be an average grosser.
Once again, Puri after long time is making a Bollywood film. This indeed is a Pan India film with a Telugu star Vijay Deverakonda. Tentatively titled Fighter, the film features Ananya Pandey as lead actress and Ramya Krishna as Vijay’s mother.
Both Vijay and Puri are quite poised of the film becoming a sensational hit in all languages, especially in Hindi belt. Meanwhile, Puri in lockdown is penning stories for his next films. Given he got support of Karan Johar for Fighter, Puri is hoping to continue the association for next films as well.
Puri is mulling to make his next films as Pan India films. However, it depends on Fighter’s box office performance in Hindi. If the film turns out to be a hit, then Karan will continue his partnership with Puri.
On the other hand, Puri is also planning to make films with Chiranjeevi and Venkatesh. Will these films also be made as Pan India films?
