Official: Lockdown 3 for Two Weeks

All speculations on the extension of Lockdown have come true. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), on Friday, officially declared the Lockdown extension for two more weeks. 

Ongoing Lockdown will be ended by May 3. Since the extension is confirmed for two more weeks, the total Lockdown period will be continued for 54 days upto May 17. 

In the meanwhile, the union government has divided the country into red, orange and green zones. Many relaxations have been given to green zones while the people at orange zones can avail permitted relaxations. Even the people at red zones can make use a few relaxations. However, very strict measures will be continued in the containment areas. 

The outspread of coronavirus pandemic resulted in 35457 were infected with coronavirus while a total of 1160 fatalities were recorded. On a bright note, 9400 infected patients got recuperated and were discharged from hospitals. Right now, 24893 active cases are under treatment at isolation wards.
