Andhra Pradesh continues to see upsurge in coronavirus cases for last few days. The state recorded 80 new cases in last 24 hours, taking the total COVID-19 cases to 1177 and 31 people died from the disease, with Kurnool, Krishna and Guntur districts emerging as the Covid-19 hotbeds.
Krishna district alone contributed 33 new cases to the state’s tally on Monday, while Guntur reported 23 cases, Kurnool 13, Nellore 7, West Godavari 3 and Srikakulam district recorded one case.
Kurnool continued to lead the Covid-19 table in the state with 292 cases, followed by Guntur 237 and Krishna 210 cases. So far, 235 people have been discharged/recovered.
Total number of coronavirus cases in India neared the 28000-mark on Monday with more than 800 deaths. The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases rose to 27,892, including 20835 active cases and 6184 discharged patients.
