Coronavirus attack and the subsequent lockdown is bringing numerous changes in the entire world. Corona effect is felt in a hard manner in various professions. Coming to Tollywood, theatres were shut down for more than a month. New film release got postponed indefinitely. Shootings came to a standstill landing the industry in huge losses. Senior producers feel that it may take a minimum of 6-8 months to come to normalcy.
Filmmakers are hopeful that after the end of lockdown, they will get permissions for shooting after 1-15 days. However, there will be practical differences in resuming shootings. Sources say already producers held discussions and readied few rules in the chamber. It is known that the pending projects should be completed first as otherwise, producers will face huge losses with the burden of interests. They are also planning to come up with a set of rules for heroes, heroines, character actors.
The following are the rules suggested by the producers:
Heroes and actors should sign new films only after completing the current pending projects.
They shouldn't trouble producers over the loss of call sheets and dates due to coronavirus lockdown. They should allocate new call sheets.
Heroes should bear the losses of the producers if they insist on direct release in theatres and not on OTT and if their suggestion doesn't work out.
Hero, heroines should cooperate and support the producers.
Film Chamber will take action if anyone tries to flout the rules.
If a producer also breaks the rules, Film Chamber will take action.
The question is will these rules come to force and will the heroes follow such tough rules.
