A few days ago, YCP MLA Madhusudhan Reddy conducted a huge rally in the wee little town Srikalahasthi that has a population just around 70000. Eventually, a total 46 people from the small town were infected with corona. And more shockingly, it's buzzed around 18 government employees who became part of the rally were also tested corona positive. Shamelessly, the MLA tried to defend his act in a TV channel's discussion programme claiming it's not a rally but a charitable event. There are strict orders that the goods and essentials are served by only volunteers but not others.
In another event, YCP MLA Roja attended a borewell inauguration programme. The video clip showed men and women who stood on either sides of the road threw flowers and petals on Roja's feet reminding us the feudal culture. There was no social distancing nor obeying lockdown rules by any.
According to more news snippets from Srikakulam, AP assembly speaker Tammineni Sitaram held some public meets which is against to lockdown norms.
