AP Sees 62 New Corona Cases, Heading For 1000 Mark

Andhra Pradesh recorded 62 fresh Coronavirus cases in last 24 hours, taking the total number of Covid-19 positive cases to 955 in the state. Unfortunately, the state is heading for 1000 mark. AP has so far seen 29 deaths due to the virus. Of the total cases, 781 are active, while 145 have recovered or discharged, according to bulletin from the state government.

Of the 13 districts, Kurnool is the worst hit with 261 cases followed by Guntur at 206, Krishna at 102, 73 cases in Chittor. Kurnool recorded 27 new cases in single day, wherein Krishna and Guntur see 14 and 11 cases respectively. Ananthapur, Prakasam, East Godavani, Nellore recorded 4, 3, 2 and 1 cases respectively in last 24 hours.

The state government, however, hasn’t mentioned how many tests have been conducted in last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the total number of Coronavirus cases in India has reached 23,502, and the global tally stands at 27,26,752.
