Corona Proves Vizag Best! Amaravati Least!

Merely on caste biased factors, the previous TDP government chose 3-crop yielding Amaravati as the capital of residual Andhra Pradesh in 2014. Even before the capital was declared, insider trading was done extensively and several casteists acquired thousands of acres of lands in the capital region.

Further, the TDP government turned spendthrift incurring too many funds on Amaravati ensuring centralized development.

Finally, TDP's extravagant standards were curtailed by the YSRCP government. The YSRCP government proposed three capitals viz. Vizag, Kurnool and Amaravati making sure the decentralized development.

By and large, the government could have moved more aggressively on 3-capital development had the novel coronavirus not spread in India. Right now entire country is rigorously observing a comprehensive lockdown which will last upto May 3 or may extend further.

Having gone through the statistical data of number of corona viruses reported and the active cases existed, it's understood that Vizag stands the best city in containing coronavirus. On the flip side, Amaravati which belongs to Krishna district stands at one of the worst affected areas.

Reports say, Krishna district stands at 3rd position next to Kurnool and Guntur districts in reporting maximum corona positive cases. The tally is picking up with each passing day. In a complete contrast, Vizag reported the least number of corona positive cases with 21, barring Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts that reported no corona cases. It's learnt that Vizag is set to be declared corona free district soon. On a whole, Vizag people's discipline and care on personal hygiene made the difference. Besides, the city's natural beauty and balanced weather conditions also played a vital role in containing corona.
