Super Hit Film Coming As TV Serial, But

Movie lovers cannot forget comic caper Yama Leela. The film turned comedian Ali into a bankable hero. SV Krishna Reddy who scored sensational hits like Rajendrudu Gajendrudu, Mayalodu completed a hat-trick with Yama Leela.

Ali went on to star in 50 films as a hero. However, except for one or two films like Ghatotkachudu, he did not score a hit. But Yama Leela created a sensation and in some theatres was screened for more than a year. Now Yama Leela is coming on the small screen but this time it is assuming the form of a serial.

In this also Ali is playing the lead role. Manju Bhargavi who played Ali's mother role is reprising the role. The serial will soon get screened on ETV. But the question is will Yama Leela which created a sensation on the silver screen will do the same as a serial on a small screen.

It is risky to tamper with the classics. Already Krishna Reddy burnt his hands by coming with a sequel Yama Leela 2. Now Yama Leela is turning into a serial. Promos are however interesting. While Satyanarayana played the role of Yama in the film, Suman is turning Yama in the serial.
