Star producer Allu Aravind is entering the digital zone with a new OTT channel named Aha which streams exclusive Telugu content only. He is launching the channel along with MyHome Rameshwara Rao and a few others. The OTT which is operational now will be launched officially on Ugadi, the Telugu New Year.
Interestingly, Vijay Deverakonda who worked with Allu Aravind for Geetha Govindam and has signed another film for Geetha Arts banner as announced by the producer recently is the brand ambassador of the OTT channel. Now, many wonder, why Allu Aravind and team roped in Vijay Deverakonda and why not Allu Arjun.
It is known that, Allu Aravind is not the sole investor on Aha. MyHome Rameshwara Rao and few others are partners of the OTT platform. They initially do not want to invest heavily. Bunny who is one of the top stars of Tollywood and scored biggest hit of his career with Ala Vaikunthapurramloo charges more than double to what Vijay Deverakonda is paid for a brand endorsement.
In fact, they didn’t acquire Ala Vaikunthapurramloo digital rights as they needed to quote bigger than what Sun Nxt paid for the rights.
Thus, Allu Aravind and team roped in Vijay Deverakonda to endorse Aha. Of course, they will have the backing of Bunny and other family members.
