Power Star Pawan Kalyan had announced to donate Rs 1 crore to Indian Armed Forces on the occasion of Armed Forces Flag Day on December 7th, last year. “I am donating Rs 1 crore to the ‘kendriya sainik board’ for the welfare our soldiers families. I will personally handover the DD to the concerned authorities in Delhi. My heartfelt gratitude to ‘PM Modiji’ for reminding our responsibility towards our Nation,” he stated then.
Fulfilling his promise, Pawan Kalyan visited the Kendriya Sainik Board (Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare) and donated 1Cr to the Sainik Board. Pleased with the gesture, the army officials bestowed him with a shield.
“I’m really contented to donate for the welfare of families of Army men. I was really touched by the letter written to me by Brigadier Mrigendra Kumar requesting the donation. So, as my part, I’m donating 1 Cr. I request Jana Sainiks and fans to donate for the families of soldiers.”
Pawan Kalyan will attend Indian Student Parliament event to take place in Vignan Bhavan in the noon.
