The AP CM Ys Jagan Mohan Reddy's worst ever decision has triggered adverse effects in neighbouring state Karnakata.
As is known, the YSRCP government in Andhra Pradesh passed a law ensuring 75% reservations to the locals in private companies. There was an uproar from all sections of people on the government's harebrained decision.
In fact, the newly formed residual AP has a limited number of companies. Most of the youth from AP are getting jobs in neighbouring states like Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
And now, having been impressed by AP government's decision on 75% local quota, people of Karnataka state initiated an extensive agitation for the same percentage of quota for the local people. The locals hurled stones on Andhra buses near Mangaluru. They chanted the slogans demanding 75% reservations. Furthermore, they called for two days bandh in Karnataka state. It's heard that a total of 600 unions joined their protests.
It's now believed that the agitation will be spread to other states as well. The youth of every state may demand 75% local quota in private companies.
What a destructive decision taken up by the AP CM! The government should immediately take its decision back. Else, the bitter decision will lead the people of future generations will face the consequences.
