Kiss Day to inspire many passionate kisses on screen
World Kiss Day or International Kissing Day is unofficially celebrated every year on July 6. However, on the eve of Valentine Week, people across the world also celebrate International Kiss Day on Feb 13.
Movie lovers expect on the eve of International Kiss Day, the makers will get inspired to use their creativity to include more passionate kisses, smooches and lip-locks in their films and stars too get inspired to get emboldened to do more intimate scenes.
Tollywood and south always avoided showing kissing scenes on screen for quite some time, unlike their Bollywood counterparts. Devika Rani and Himanshu Rai broke the taboo in Bollywood in 1933 with their lip-lock in Karma.
It took lot of time for Tollywood to break the taboo. Nagarjuna became the first hero to involve in a lip-lock when he locked the lips of Girija Shettar in Geetanjali in 1989. From then, Tollywood stars never looked back and Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun, Naga Chaitanya, Kajal, Raashi Khanna, Samantha involved in passionate kisses on the silver screen.
