BCG Report: Vizag, AVT, Kurnool Capitals

Boston Consultancy Group, which was constituted to study on capital issues, submitted its report to the AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday, January 3. The committee suggested decentralized development to AP in lieu of centralized capital's development.  Besides, it made it clear that Rs.1.10 lakh crore would be needed to develop Amaravati as the capital and even then, it would take 40 years for a wholesome development. On the contrary, a shoestring budget Rs.2000 crore is enough to get the capital developed in the city of Vizag. Following are the 'option 1' proposals of BCG on Vizag, Amaravati and Kurnool.

* Secretariat in Vizag

* Industries in Vizag

* Infrastructure in Vizag

* Tourism in Vizag

* Assembly and High Court benches in Vizag

* Assembly in Amaravati

* High Court bench in Amaravati

* Amaravati to become an education hub

* Amaravati to become a high tech agricultural zone

* Amaravati can be considered for self finance project

* High Court in Kurnool

* State commissions and appellate authorities in Kurnool
