Employees and workers at nationwide are all set to participate a one day nationwide general Strike on January 8. It's going to be a protest against the record sales of national assets by Modi's government.
On the other hand, prestigious JEE Mains examinations, which pave the way for Engineering admissions in IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs, have been scheduled between 6 January and 9 January.
As general Strike's date is locked to January 8 and which falls on one of the scheduled dates of JEE Mains examinations, workers have sensed that students would be facing problems to write examinations. Subsequently, they wrote a letter to Human Resources Development Ministry to get the JEE Mains exam postponed.
If at all HRD ministry obliges workers appeal and postpones the JEE Mains examination from January 8 to some other date, it comes as a huge jolt to the students. Their spirit of securing a high rank would get disappeared. Furthermore, they might have planned holidays and have booked advance reservation tickets to go to hometowns. All their hopes would be vanished. Hence, the HRD ministry should not put off JEE Mains exams for a single day's useless Strike of employees.
