Gn Rao's committee, which was constituted by YSRCP government to study capital issues, has submitted its report to the CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday evening, December 20. A few days ago, the CM anticipated in state's assembly that there'd be a possibility of three capitals in AP in which one would remain to be the Amaravati while other two would be Kurnool and Vizag.
In what could be said a co-incidence or an intentional strategy, Gn Rao's report echoes Jagan's prediction on three possible capitals. Following are the excerpts of Gn Rao's committee recommendations.
* Infrastructure should be developed in Amaravati.
* High court shall be established in Kurnool while two benches of it shall be established one at Amaravati and another one in Vizag.
* State's assembly, Raj Bhavan and MLA quarters shall be located in Amaravati itself.
* State's secretariat and CM's camp office shall be established in Vizag.
* Assembly winter sessions should be conducted at Tullur while its summer sessions shall be organised in Vizag.
* We toured 1600 Kms.
* We observed regional discriminations in AP.
* We received the opinions of all sections of people including netizens.
* We studied Sivaramakrishnan committee's reports as well.
* North, South, Middle coastal regions and Rayalaseema boards shall be established.
