Now inside talk is the producers are following smart ways to slash the expenses. Ravinder Reddy, production designer of UV Creations came up with a plan similar to Mega Star Chiranjeevi's Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. When the makers of Sye Raa erected four lavish sets in the outskirts of Hyderabad, no one expected them to reduce the production costs.

According to the source, Jaan makers acquired four acres of prime land on lease at Tellapur on the city outskirts. The estimated value of the four acres is around a whopping Rs 100 crores. All this happened after Vikram (Vicky), one of the producers of UV Creations found that the prime land belongs to a person called Charan who in turn is known to Mega Power Star Ram Charan.

Vikram who is close to Ram Charan got the property for lease till the completion of Jaan shooting or for few months. The producers zeroed in on to Tellapur as it is just 20km away from Annapurna Studios. The makers after acquiring the property constructed a massive warehouse of around 20,000 sft and will soon erect extravagant sets.

This brings down the production costs drastically. Generally the makers spend around Rs 70000 per day on rent in a studio to construct a lavish set. Erecting one set takes around 2-3 months and the rent increases during that time to around Rs 60 lakhs. It increases the labor costs, food, raw materials, transportation and daily wages are also included.

In the second scenario the construction of the set takes place in the outskirts and the makers can cut the costs by providing only accommodation to the workers.  The makers also need not worry about the rent and they can erect multiple sets simultaneously as against one in the studio. In this way sets can be constructed in 3-4 days and save 50% costs and time.

The makers already erected six sets and normally it costs Rs 25-30crs but now acquiring the land on lease, they completed the sets for just 6crs. The sets can be transported to the studio after dismantling and can be reassembled in the studio for the shoot. The lavish sets include heroine's house, vintage train set to name a few.
