YS Jagan Educational Revolution upto Plus 2

While AP CM Ys Jagan Mohan Reddy's decision to convert all schools into English medium schools in AP is welcomed by most of the sections including students and parents, some opposition parties at state and central level are opposition the decision. 

According to the educationists, following revolutionary decisions are all set to be taken up by YSRCP and which ensure the change in system on a positive note.

* All schools from class 1 to class 6 will be converted to English medium in 2020-21 academic year. Thereafter, one class each upto class 10 will be upgraded into English medium.

* Telugu will be made as the compulsory subject in all government schools except a single digit number of schools where Urdu would be made one of the compulsory subjects.

* In what can be said yet another earth shattering decision from YS sarkar is that schools with more than 500 students strength will be extended upto plus 2 (Intermediate).

* According to the statistical study of State Council of Education Research and Training (SCERT), a total of 600+ schools will be upgraded to plus two level.

* As a result, lakhs of students, especially girl students won't join private colleges which are located at more than 10 km distance from their residences. Furthermore, the dropout number at Intermediate level will be decreased predominantly.

* The domination of private colleges will be checkmated.

* Students can prepare well for national and state wide competitive examinations like IIT, NEET, EAMCET etc. from their doorsteps.

* Thousands of teachers will be promoted as PGTs and Schools Assistants while thousands more Secondary Grade Teacher posts will be generated at primary level.
