In what could be said a shocking blow to Shiv Sena political party, BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis took oath as a new CM of Maharashtra while Nationalist Congress Party leader Ajit Pawar was sworn in as a deputy CM.
Until the eleventh hour, Pawar kept on assuring that Uddav Takre would take oath as a new CM and will be continued in the same position for all five years. Much to everyone's shocker, things gained up momentum very quickly and Fadnavis replaced Takre.
It's said that the master strategy scripted by PM Narendra Modi and Amit Shah worked wonders and as a result Fadnavis assumed the power.
The governor BS Koshyari on Saturday morning administered the oath taking ceremony of the new CM and deputy CM.
