The next Sankranthi, Telugu movie buffs will have double bonanza with two big ticket films- Stylish Star Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurramloo and Super Star Mahesh Babu’s Sarileru Neekevvaru hitting the screens on same day on January 12th.
Kalyan Ram’s Entha Machi Vadau Ra is also planned for Sankranthi release. But, it seems, the film would be pushed to other date. There’s no clarity yet about the release date Venkatesh and Naga Chaitanya’s Venky Mama.
So, the major battle for the festival will be between Ala Vaikunthapurramloo and Sarileru Neekevvaru. Although release date is far away, makers of both the films have opted to early promotions.
While Sarileru Neekevvaru makers have released a song and numerous posters, Ala Vaikunthapurramloo makers released couple of songs and plentiful posters on different occasions in recent times.
Of course, both the songs from AVPL got tremendous response. They even announced of first single Samajavaragamana becoming most liked song. The second single Ramuloo Ramuloo also created rare feat by becoming most liked South Indian song in 24 hours.
On the other hand, Sarileru Neekevvaru film is also in the race in creating records. A new poster of the film released on Diwali became the most liked poster with 69K likes. The Dussehra special poster also got record likes. Nonetheless, one wonders whether these likes are genuine or fake.
We by and large judge the reach or popularity of a poster or a song with respect to the number of likes that particular content garnered. The current trend is most of the actors are willing to prove that their movie is a lot better than others with more views and likes on YouTube and other social media platforms.
Of late, in this online advertising, paid media and fake bots have increased to provide an illusion that the particular video has got a wide reception when it doesn't get actually.
Coming back to the topic of record likes for promotional content of Sankranthi attractions, the unbelievable likes count in such short span is creating doubts!
