Tollywood Failing With Weak Planning

Release date planning is extremely perfect in Bollywood. Already the summer, Eid, Diwali and X Mas season releases of the top stars' films have been fixed for the next year. Except under unavoidable circumstances, the release dates will not change.

Considering this, Tollywood Filmmakers are extremely weak when it comes to planning their releases. In two months, X Mas season starts and even now the X Mas releases for this year are not yet finalized.

Many of the so-called X Mas releases are now pushed back to February, next year. There is confusion even in the case of few Sankranthi releases in 2020. Tollywood Filmmakers even experience last minute release tensions.

In Bollywood, the first copy of a film gets ready one month before its release. So the makers can concentrate on the film promotions in a planned and perfect manner. However, even top stars films in Tollywood keep on shooting till the last minute and few films do not have time for pre-release promotions. Some even postpone the release dates due to delay in shooting schedules. This was the main reason for the postponement of X Mas releases.

Only a few like Puri Jagannath and Anil Ravipudi can ensure their film releases as per schedule. Other star directors fail in their time management. If producers pressurize them to keep with the release date, then their output will get damaged. Unless until proper planning and strict implementation is not there, the makers will face release date problems leaving others too tensed.
