No Ramayanam! Only Mahabharat?

Mega Producer Allu Aravind along with Madhu Mantena and Namit Malhotra announced previously that they would jointly bankroll Ramayanam trilogy with a whopping sum of Rs.1500 crores. 

Initially, Mega Power Star Ram Charan's name as a protagonist lord Rama made rounds on net. Later, Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan's name was circulated on net. 

Here is an interesting twist now. Madhu Mantena, one of the producers, of Ramayanam, will be producing another mythological film Mahabharat. And this news was disclosed by none other than Bollywood's top heroine Deepika Padukone. She said she would be essaying Draupadi role in the movie and would produce along with Madhu Mantena. Deepika said the film would hit screens for Diwali, 2021. 

Obviously, it's being suspected the proposed Ramayanam trilogy got shelved. Let's see if the producers come up with any clarity or not.
